Microsoft Outlook Setup

To configure your DirectAdmin email in Microsoft Outlook, open Outlook, go to File > Add Account, select manual setup, and choose IMAP or POP3. Enter mail.yourdomain.com for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers, and use your full email address as the username.

1. Incoming Server (IMAP)
Account Type: IMAP
Username: Your full email address (e.g., user@yourdomain.com)
Password: The password you set for this email address in DirectAdmin
Server: mail.yourdomain.com (Alternatively, you can use your server’s hostname if you get a security certificate mismatch)
Port: 110 (without SSL) or 995 (SSL)
Encryption method: SSL/StartSSL

or
Incoming Server (POP3)
Account Type: POP
Username: Your full email address (e.g., user@yourdomain.com)
Password: The password you set for this email address in DirectAdmin
Server: mail.yourdomain.com (Alternatively, you can use your server’s hostname if you get a security certificate mismatch)
Port: 143 (without SSL) or 993 (SSL)
Encryption method: SSL/StartSSL

Outgoing Server (SMTP)
Server: mail.yourdomain.com
Port: 587 (without SSL) or 465 (SSL)
Encryption method: STARTTLS
Authentication: Required (Check the box that says “My outgoing server requires authentication”).
